US Gaming Arena (http://www.computerarena.com/) is filming a commercial 7 pm Tuesday at its Roswell location. They need cool people for their crowd shots. They are not paying, but you will be able to play games there for free during the shoot, and they have a lot of games to play.

If you need more credits on your acting CV, it should be a good one.

The sad thing about my last post.

I will buy a new car again, but it won't be made in America. We are just too focused on becoming the first 4th World Nation in history.

What is a 4th World Nation? It's my own concept. It's a nation where .01% of the Country lives above the poverty level and they got there with the whole-hearted support of the other 99.99% of the population because, you know, Goodness No we don't want Socialism! Why should we be as happy as all the other 1st World Nations on the planet.

Greedy Motherfuckers, that's who.

If you've not seen Who Killed the Electric Car? I would highly recommend it. I am watching it right now for the third time but now I am going to make a vow.

When I moved to California I had to buy an automobile, an item that is a huge burden and something I could never imagine wanting back home in NYC, but because of the complete lack of viable public transportation on the entire West Coast I had to buy a car. (Yeah, Yeah, all you Bay Area native west coasters will talk about BART and MUNI. Like I said, complete lack of viable public transportation. Go to the "Tri-State Area", you'll see what I mean.)

Today I make a vow. I will never buy another car for the rest of my life until I can buy one that is like the EV1. If I have to hold my current automobile together with duct tape and chewing gum then that is what I will do. I am an experienced mechanic and I can do it.

I also believe in my heart of hearts that I will buy a new car someday, and here is why. I am a Gen-Xer. We want environmental sensibility. We are sick of garden slug level IQs and greedy Oil Companies, but there are still not enough of us. Gen Y, Millenniums, etc will demand what I want and that is where the greed factor kicks back in. When the auto manufacturers can't give away cars because they run on internal combustion engines, a technology that is over a century old, then common sense and logic will prevail and we will finally be rid of the noisy, smelly, human killing, planet killing and extremely slow and slovenly internal combustion engine and have clean, quiet, insanely fast electric vehicles.

I think last time I posted here Id finished my trip around Ladakh and the worlds highest motorable passes. I'm moving south now down to Goa but took a detour to travel around Rajasthan, land of the kings. Just about every town has a fort and a Maha Raja. Jaisalmer is at the outer reaches of the state to the far east nearly in Pakistan. Its also in the desert. Its been a major trading town for nearly a thousand years. The fort is 850 years old and is amazing. heres a little vid of the drive up through the gates inside the fort to my guest house.



I also stopped in Pushkar for the camel fair. thousands of camels congregating in the desert every year for this major fair. the gypsie girls are really enticing.

I nearly got u-turned into on my way into work in the morning yesterday -- but it was a small deal, I stopped, idiot saw me, I got out of Dodge. No adrenaline, just angry.

And then I got left-turned on my way home from work last night.

I'm fine, I didn't go down, but I did have a bit of an off-road excursion avoiding the dildo in the pickup truck.

He was facing me turning left into a road to my right. He was stopped, and then he was inching, and then he was slowly, slowly completing his turn... and by the time I realized it wasn't inching, it was turning, it was way too late for me to touch the brakes so I grooved VERY far right around his front bumper, had a bit of a close encounter with a pile of leaves and underbrush on the side of the road (ttfl for no trees and a hard shoulder right there) before reentering paved territory. Happily he was turning so slowly and steadily -- you know how your brain makes lightning-fast calculations in situations like this? -- that I knew exactly how much space I'd have in front of him when I got there, swerved to put my tire right on the edge of the pavement so that my saddlebag would not bonk off his headlight, and then went into the weeds for a bit...

You know that noise you make, deep in your throat, when you involuntarily suck in air and it kind of rattles your vocal chords? That one. And then the adrenaline shakes.

Rode home kinda wobbly, gave my bike a big hug and had a nice glass of Ardmore. Haven't had a close call like that in years.

Он был.. наверное, одним из немногих телеведущих, способных очеловечить любую идею.
Шаг вперёд, улыбка, взгляд - и сюжетно-сценическое полотно исчезало, превращаясь в сказку.
Многие дети мечтали, чтобы у них был такой папа.
Он не был нарочитым "другом детей" - он был просто другом, человек с добрыми глазами, умевший играть с маленькими людьми, как с детьми, и говорить с ними, как со взрослыми.
Не знаю, чего пожелать этой светлой тени - вести свой класс в небесной школе, или поскорее возвращаться на Землю.
Чтобы наши внуки снова увидели эту улыбку.
И чтобы им, уже перешагнувшим порог юности, не пришлось узнавать, что дядя Серёжа больше не появится на экране. И только раздачи на торрентах будут напоминать о том, что сказка живёт, даже когда сказочник срочно понадобился Тому, кто творил этот мир.

Thought this was a really well done commercial for us motorcyclists. I love how the perspective seamlessly jumps from person to person as if we were that little angel (or devil) on their shoulder. Can you spot all the "bad"/dangerous behavior? I'm probably guilty of 1/2 of them on my 2 mile trek to work! :(
