В комментах люди утверждают, что мальчика уже завалили открытками, и, даже если все откликнувшиеся были образцом такта и не упоминали о смерти, полагаю, мальчик несколько шокирован.
Но - тем не менее - каждый в своём праве, и те, кто уже написал открытку, имеют все причины её отправить - Рождество ещё не наступило, и каждая частичка человеческого тепла всё-таки очень важна - для этого мира и для мальчика, который, будем надеяться, проживёт ещё долго.

Today I have been dealing with overwhelming homesickness.

This January will be 5 years since I've seen home and it's really bothering me. I need to visit and I need to visit soon.

Но вот реакция препода достойна восхищения.

I purchased my '07 GTI on Halloween night 2006, the next day the modifications began. My little VW is a monster. It's loud and fast and agile and I still have a shit load of racing parts to put on her.

I bought her for Grand Sport Division Racing in Nevada. Specifically for this Open Road Racing venue.

Sadly, I ran out of money and am not yet complete. I still need to put all the part I have for her on her and get the roll cage finished and the harnesses installed. Hopefully I will race her in 2011. That is my goal.

If you have never experienced Open Road Racing it's a rush and it's amazing. It's a challenge of man, machine, time, and math. You must complete the course with the most accurate time for your class. For example, my car is Grand Sport Division meaning a "Tech Speed" of 168 MPH and an average speed of between 130-172 MPH depending on your experience based division. That means you need to do the course with an average speed of 130MPH but you DQ if you exceed your 168 MPH "Tech Speed"

To truly experience this sport at it's finest you gotta watch this video of a husband and wife team. I want this woman as my navigator. She is a racing Goddess.


She provides distance and angles of turns with such precision timing and description that only a pathetic driver can loose.

Ted is the only person who has ever driven my car in a manner that it was modified to be driven and who has driven her like me, i.e.-80 in a 20 on the mountain twisties. I think I'd let her navigate for me but if the woman in this video volunteered she'd be in my right seat.
