Finally, burn out chaos & aftermath

  • Nov. 3rd, 2008 at 7:03 AM
Ok, so earlier I posted about the burnout mayhem that occurred at our house when our friends visited from NH. I can't really describe the amount of rubber that covered (& still covers) our garage. Our ceiling, doors, floors, and of course anything in the garage is covered in rubber tire (pieces and dust). This also means that there are rubber marks on our floors from tracking in small pieces of rubber. So, the day I took off for GS H-D to replace my back tire, I used my helmet that had been hanging on a hook in the garage. When I arrived at the dealership and removed my helmet I was the object of stares and smiles. hmmm... what are they smiling at??? Then one of the guys came over and told me that I had quite a bit of "road grime" on my face. So what? Then as I moved my hand to wipe my face, which I did, he told me to stop and "go look in the mirror." My reflection was completely covered -almost top of head to middle of neck- in rubber goo (rubber dust combined with a little sweat). I looked like I had covered my face in black grease paint. I did my best to wipe off most of the goo, but still looked fairly dirty. Check out these pix: http://pics.livejournal.com/bobberbikebabe/gallery/0000b6qr
